How do you get to Gästehaus Pernull?

Gästehaus Pernull is very easily accessible in various ways. You can of course take the car or motorcycle, but we can also be reached by train/motor train and plane. Below we give a number of tips for each mode of transport:

Traveling by car, convertible and motorcycle:

Are you coming from western Austria?

On the A10, drive through the Tauern and Katschberg tunnels (toll plaza) and take the Feistritz/Drau exit. Follow the directions towards Windische Höhe to Hermagor.
About two kilometers before Hermagor, turn right and take the exit to Khünburg. Keep following the road, go straight at the t-junction.
After 200 meters you will see our parking lot on the right side of the road.

Are you coming from eastern Austria?

On the A2 (southern highway towards Italy) you leave the highway at the Hermagor/Gailtal exit. Turn left and continue on the B111 trunk road for 27 km towards Hermagor.
About two kilometers before Hermagor, turn right and take the exit to Khünburg. Keep following the road, go straight at the t-junction.
After 200 meters you will see our parking lot on the right side of the road.

Are you coming from the north (eg Germany/ Belgium/ the Netherlands)?

From Munich you can take the A10 (see traveling from the west of Austria) or the A12 (Inntal Autobahn) to the Kufstein exit.
From there you continue through the Felbertauern tunnel (toll station) to Lienz, over the Gailbergsattel to Kötschach-Mauthen and on towards Hermagor.
Drive through Hermagor towards Villach. After 2 km turn left and take the exit to Khünburg. Keep following the road, go straight at the t-junction.
After 200 meters you will see our parking lot on the right side of the road.

Are you coming from the south , from Italy?

Take the highway until Udine towards Austria.
Then you have two options:
- You leave the highway at Pontebba and you drive through the village of Pontebba on the pass road directly to Nassfeld (Passo Pramollo).
- Or you can continue to Tarvisio and take the Hermagor/Gailtal exit. Turn left and follow trunk road B111 for 27 km towards Hermagor.

Traveling by train

Sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery en route to your holiday destination by train. Train traffic is generally very punctual in Germany (Deutsche Bahn) and Austria (Österreichische Bahn) and they work closely together. You can travel relaxed with a fixed seat in second or first class. You can book your train journey to Gästehaus Pernull cheaply and quickly on the websites of the Deutsche Bahn or NS International. Travel example:

From Aachen to Villach Hbf (travel time approx. 11 hours): from €69 per person, one way
From Amsterdam to Villach Hbf (travel time approx. 13 hours): from € 59.90 per person, one way

The ÖBB S-Bahn line S4 takes you from Villach to Hermagor every hour. Get off at the last stop before Hermagor, called Vellach-Khünburg. Now you walk only 400 meters to our guest house.

Next to this train station you will also find the bus stop for the free ski bus. In winter, the ski bus also runs directly between the train station and the Nassfeld ski area (terminus Tröpolach Millennium-Express). In summer you can travel for free with our Holiday Plus Card on this bus to Hermagor, Nassfeld and Weissensee.

Lots of convenience and no traffic jams, no toll for the tunnel, no vignette and environmentally friendly.

Traveling by motor train (only in summer months)

Would you like to enjoy a nice motorbike tour in the three-country corner and the beautiful surroundings around Gästehaus Pernull? You do not necessarily have to make the entire outward and/or return journey to Austria by motorbike, simply take the motor train and arrive well rested. The train regularly takes you (in the months of June, July, August and September) from Düsseldorf to Villach. You can book this trip through Booking Urlaubs Express

You check in at the train station, park your motorcycle at the back of the train and go to the train or your reserved compartment for a relaxed train journey. There is a dining car where you can get snacks and drinks. You can also optionally order breakfast. Arriving in Villach, you drive the engine of the train and you are at Gästehaus Pernull in 25 minutes.

Traveling by plane

Eurowings, Ryanair and Transavia offer flights from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany several times a week. The flight often takes no more than an hour and a half. Prices start from €45 per person. From these four airports you can travel on to Gästehaus Pernull by train, bus, airport shuttle or rented car.

Klagenfurt: 1 hour 15 minutes to Hemagor
Laibach/Ljubljana: 1 hour 20 minutes to Hermagor
Sad: 1 hour 45 minutes to Hermagor
Venice treviso: 2 hours and 30 minutes
